HEAVEN, HADES AND DEATH

Yeshua is Eternal Life and therefore answering all questions concerning life after death, out of body experiences (OBE) and near-death experiences (NDE).

So where do people go after they die? Nowhere?! Heaven, Hades, Death, Sea or Paradise?!  True Believers in Yeshua (Jesus) will instantly go to Heaven (Phil. 1:23; John 14:2; 17:20-24; 1 Peter 1:3-5, 8-9; Acts 7:56-59).  But what happens if one commits suicide where do they go? Click here

SCIENCE POSITION ON THE AFTER LIFE

Science looks at the evidence and then draws a conclusion based on that evidence. The conclusion from the science community is not the extinction of life after death but the complete opposite, an existence of life after death. These studies include people who have left their body while being operated on, seen their surroundings, seen some supernatural thing, then came back and shared all these details with others.

There have been some cases where people who were born blind, saw their body for the very first time and then described in detail what happened in the room after their death.  Everything that they described was verified to be true and could not have described it unless they actually saw it.  In addition, many spoke of supernatural events such as being drawn to a white light, while others being pulled into a dark crevice stricken with fear. Also, some saw Yeshua (Jesus), or Angels and others heard a voice behind them instructing them.

No reputable study in the last 50years claims that these people are having a hallucination like they said in the 1950-70s. Now what is in dispute from the science community is the interpretation of some of the supernatural events but what is not in dispute is the fact that they left their bodies (Doctors share).

WHO ARE HUMANS REALLY?

We are not our body but we do live in our body. However, our body is physical (earth suit) made up of clay and our soul is who we are (Gen. 2:7). The Soul is our will, intellect emotions, basically us – the person. Therefore the spirit is not the soul and it is the spirit that gives life to the body (James 2:26). The Spirit is the breath from God (Gen. 2:7). When the unrighteous or righteous die today their spirit returns to God (Eccl. 12:7; Luke 23:46) but their soul (them) either goes to Heaven, Hades or Death. Their body sleeps in the dust of the earth until the resurrection.

ARE TESTIMONIES OF HEAVEN OR HADES REAL?

“No one has ascended to Heaven” (John 3:13). Yet in context, Yeshua did not say that no one has ascended to Heaven period, as both Elijah and Enoch who had ascended into Heaven. Angels who came down to speak with mankind like the Angel Gabriel to Daniel, didn’t first ascend from the earth and then come down. Yeshua is saying that only those who have gone to Heaven are able to clearly talk about Heavenly things, like He is doing. This is the context.

This statement from Yeshua was before His resurrection. Both John (Rev. 4:1-2) and Paul (2 Cor. 12:1-4) went to Heaven and who came back to tell. They wrote ~25% of the New Testament.

Besides John and Paul, what about those people today who shared their experience in Heaven or Hades? Still everything should be measured according to the scripture. If they say something against Scripture, we discount it. Or if they add new laws, we do not add or take away from those things the Lord has shared. Therefore if it doesn’t contradict scripture then let it be an encouragement. We can’t say they are lying as we could be found speaking against what the Holy Spirit is doing. This is very dangerous, just like the Pharisees who spoke against the miracles of Yeshua by attributing it to the Devil and Yeshua said that they were blaspheming Holy Spirit.

CONDITIONS FOR ENTERING HEAVEN

“Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit” (Acts 2:38). Therefore “He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned” (Mark 16:16).  “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.  For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them” (Eph 2:8-10).

“If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.  For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation” (Rom 10:9-10). Therefore Yeshua is eternal life!

WHY CAN’T THERE BE ANOTHER WAY?

No, for all have been bitten by the serpent of sin, all are unholy and sinful.  Therefore God provided His Son as the antidote to cleanse us from our sin and reconcile us to Him. As a result, if we reject or don’t know about the antidote who is at fault? If we reject or don’t seek the antidote then we are responsible. “For Christ also suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive by the Spirit” (1 Pet. 3:18; Rom 3:25). Thus “he who has the Son has life, he who does not have the Son of God does not have life” (1 John 5:12).

For this reason Yeshua said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” (John 14:6). Yeshua is eternal life.

BELIEVERS IN YESHUA INSTANTLY GO TO HEAVEN

Therefore here is a list of scripture proving that believers in Yeshua will instantly go to Heaven when they die. Paul being a disciple of Yeshua, like we are, said, “For I am hard-pressed between the two, having a desire to depart and be with Christ, which is far better” (Phil. 1:23). However where is Christ (the Messiah)? Just like Yeshua said, “In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you.  I go to prepare a place for you” (John 14:2).

Yeshua prayed for not only His disciples but also those who believe on Him, “I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word… Father, I desire that they also whom You gave Me may be with Me where I am, that they may behold My glory which You have given Me; for You loved Me before the foundation of the world” (John 17:20-24). “For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ” (Phil 3:20; 1 Peter 1:3-5, 8-9).

As a result, when Stephen was stoned he looked up and said, “Look, I see the heavens opened and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God!”… “And they stoned Stephen as he was calling on God and saying, “Lord Jesus, receive my spirit” (Act 7:56, 59).

WHERE DO NON-BELIEVERS GO?

They will not be going to Heaven because their sin remains.  Therefore the place for non-believers is a place called Hades and Death where they will remain until judgement day. This is where they will be judged based on their works.  It will be more tolerable for those who haven’t heard of Yeshua than those who have and rejected Him (Matt. 11:24).

Therefore in the Book of Revelation, John speaks of what he sees, “I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened.  Now another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. The dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books. The sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them.  And they were judged, each one according to his works.  Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire.  This is the second death. And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire” (Rev. 20:12-15).

LOCATIONS MENTIONED IN THE BIBLE

3rd Heaven where God resides (2 Cor. 12:2; Heb. 8:1; 9:24; John 14:1-3), this includes Paradise (2 Cor. 12:4; Rev. 2:7).

2nd Heaven where the stars reside (Matt. 24:29; Deut. 4:19).

1st Heaven is the sky, the atmosphere, where the clouds reside (Gen. 6:7; Jam 5:18).

Earth (Gen. 1:10-12).

Death location is in the earth (Rev. 20:13), the void believed to be left when Abraham’s Bosom (Luke 16:22) was taken to Heaven after Yeshua’s resurrection (Matt. 27:52-53).

Hades (Matt. 11:23; Ps. 9:15; Luke 16:23; Rev. 1:18). Hades is a place of torment, suffering and pain. Those who don’t fear God and reject His Son will go there until Judgement Day.

Sea (Rev. 20:13). Those who die during the 1,000 year reign of Christ will go to a place called “the sea.” They can’t accept Jesus the Christ by faith so they can’t be made righteous by faith; therefore they can’t go to Heaven (Gal. 2:16; John 16:10). His Kingdom has physically come on earth and it is not by faith that they obey Him but by compulsion. However their motivation for obedience will be revealed by their works, all of which will be judged on Judgement Day.

Abyss (Luke 8:1).

Tartarus (2 Pet. 2:4; 1 Pet. 3:19; Jude 1:6). God then locked up those Fallen Angels who had intercourse with mankind in Tartarus.

Hell – the Lake of Fire (Mark 9:43-44; Matt. 10:28; 25:46; 18:9; 13:50; Rev. 20:14-15). The Lake of Fire is in “Gehenna” (hell) the valley of Hinnom (Mark 9:43-45; Matt. 10:28).  This place was originally designed for the Devil and his Angels (Matt. 25:41).  The Lake of fire burns with fire and brimstone (Rev. 19:20; 20:10; 21:8).  Brimstone (Sulphur, yellow) is used when judging the wicked (Luke 17:29).  The location of the Lake of Fire is unknown but there are indicators that it is close to Jerusalem as this is where the final battle takes place (Zech. 14:1-5) and where the lamb will reside and thus in the presence of the lamb and the holy Angels/Messengers (Rev. 14:10).  Similarly, the Dead Sea contains sulphur and gives off sulphur fumes, therefore the Lake of Fire could be under the Dead Sea. However, we do know that the current earth will cease to exist (Rev. 20:11) but the Lake of Fire will remain in order to cast those in who are not in the Book of Life (Rev. 20:15).

  1. The stress, death, rebirth of a lawyer video in the Yeshua Eternal Life link is amazing. As a student of apologetics I really enjoy testimonies from skeptics (lawyer’s are great skeptics!) who have encounters with Jesus. These life or death experiences that create a catalyst to have a deep one on one encounter with God let us know that God is there and He does reveal himself in so many rich and amazing ways.

  2. The Video “Gunshots” is inspiring because this performer who strived to make it in the Hollywood superficial world which the world relentlessly pounds into us as being the most important one , was nudged by God to work for Him as a gospel singer. He got shot and died for a time but came back and as far as can be seen, after 5 bullets hit him he seems to be without any lingering physical issues, praise the Lord!

  3. How awesome is it to know that no matter what we’ve done and where we’ve been, God loves us. Jesus can change all of it in a moment when we surrender to Him. Praise God!!

  4. Crushed and … How merciful is our God that He would give some of us a glimpse into the world He has planned for us and save us – He leaves no detail untouched!

  5. I cried when I watched” burned and died” and I couldn’t understand exactly why. It must be God’s presence. Wonderful! It reminded me that there is life after death and it helped me not to worry about the daily stresses in front of me.

  6. After browsing around on this site I’m reminded of a quote by C.S. Lewis “I don’t have enough faith to be an atheist”

God is all too real to ignore. He loves you, He cares about you, and He wants a relationship with you today.

  7. Watching these videos of people experiencing both hell and heaven shows us what a gracious and merciful God we serve. He gives us a glimpse of eternity because He loves us so much and doesn’t want us to make the wrong choices in life. He wants us to choose Him. Thank you Yeshua!

  8. After watching Yvonne Sklar’s visit to heaven and hearing again God’s reminder to ask for both the big and the small things, because He cares about everything in our lives, because His laws are perfect and we are to keep them, I’m amazed that He loves us so much in spite of our failures, and so very grateful for His forgiveness and His call on our lives to serve Him. Thank you Father!

  9. What I like about this is that many people who don’t know each other, share the same thing. All talk about what they saw either after death or at the point of death or out of body experiences (OBE) or near Death Experience (NDE). Some saw Heaven (Paradise) and others saw Hades (place of torment). They all coming back to give us a warning. Even blind people from birth share what they see as they leave a body and describe in detail shocking the doctors. OBE and NDE are scientific medical evidence of the afterlife.

  10. It’s amazing how so many of these testimonies have consistent details about what Heaven looks like and how individuals feel and experience the same things. I’m so glad that these people were able to find a platform to tell the world about how Heaven and Hell are real.

  11. Near Death Experiences and Out of Body experiences is a scientific fact. Remember the movie flat liners – this wasn’t so far from the truth. This blows in the face of evolutionists because there are no cells at all, it goes into the spiritual world. Wikipedia states: A near-death experience (NDE) is a personal experience associated with death or impending death. Such experiences may encompass a variety of sensations including detachment from the body, feelings of levitation, total serenity, security, warmth, the experience of absolute dissolution, and the presence of a light. Neuroscience research suggests that an NDE is a subjective phenomenon resulting from “disturbed bodily multisensory integration” that occurs during life-threatening events.” Many cases of people reporting seeing their bodies and seeing people around them. Describing in great deal. NDE of events was thought to be an hallucination but reported to be erroneous as the events described were crystal clear, factual and not erratic like hallucinations.

  12. There is one main question that separates religion from having a relationship with God – It is this – What happens when you die? Jewish (not the nationality but the religion) people literally answer, “Don’t know, could be paradise or nothingness. As God wills.” Buddhists literally answer, “If I do everything right hopefully I come back to earth as a Lama.” Atheists literally answer, “I don’t think about it, probably nothing.” Muslims literally answer, “Hopefully heaven but God will decide. I need to do these 5 things and maybe I will be permitted to enter Heaven.” Jehovah witnesses and Mormons say the same things as the Muslim, “Need to do this and don’t do that then I may go to heaven. Hopefully.” They all try so hard with their works and most end up defeated. They all have so many complicated things to do and still have no comfort in the resolution of where they are going to end up after death. It is because they don’t have the chief cornerstone that gives them the foundation of Eternal Life, Yeshua the Messiah. God made it very simple, not by works but by faith in Yeshua we enter into everlasting life with God. So only Christians can literally say, “I will go to Heaven and will be with God for eternity. Not because of my good works but because of Yeshua. My good works will be rewarded but this doesn’t get me into Heaven. It is believing into Yeshua as our Savior.” No question marks – why? Because Yeshua is the only founder who not only told us how to live but also showed us the way. He was resurrected and ascended into Heaven in front of many eyewitnesses. No religion can claim that. “For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Yeshua The Messiah” (Phil. 3:20)

  13. May 28, 2011 And the world applauds Dawkins. Ugh. One day Christ will make all of this right. Every detail about how it all went down will be made known.Have fun and stay busy Luke 19:13

  14. What a testimony – Jesus touches the lives of people like you and I – normal people who need to know HIM . There are so many people that God touches and they share the same story …. What an awesome God we serve!

  15. Can someone visit Heaven? Some have argued that it is not possible per scripture as Jesus said in John 3:13 “No one has ascended to Heaven.”

Let’s look at scripture because we agree that this is the only measuring stick. Is Yeshua contradicting what was said earlier in scripture as both Elijah or Enoch ascend to Heaven in a physical body. Obviously not.

Could Yeshua be meaning that no one can talk about things they don’t know about? Correct, they can’t talk about Heaven unless they have seen it, it is not that no one has seen things in Heaven or been to Heaven. For example; Moses has seen heavenly things but didn’t necessarily go to Heaven (Heb. 8:5 – Same with Ezekiel etc.).

Also, both Enoch and Elijah went to Heaven but didn’t come down to tell what they saw. This is the context. Yeshua said, “Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness. If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things? And no man HAS ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven (John 3:11-13).” Perfect interpretation is when all scripture is in harmony and nothing is in tension. If it is in tension then it is not good interpretation. I believe this might be what Rob was meaning.

We also know from scripture that this statement from Yeshua was before His resurrection. This was not a command, like “No one will ascend to Heaven and come down”, but more of a reflection that no one HAS gone to Heaven and come down to tell. We also know from scripture that after His resurrection, people did go to Heaven and did return to tell. We could say 20-25% of the New Testament writers went to Heaven and came back to tell (2/8-9) – Paul (or someone he knew 2 Cor. 12:1-4) and John (Rev. 4:1-2) who ascended to Heaven. Also, the whole book of Revelation is about what John saw and some of it was from Heaven.
