Satan hates 3 things: Bible, Christians & Israelites or some call Jewish. So Satan uses Muslims, the Liberal Media, Buddhists, Atheists, etc to speak against and kill Christians, Jewish and always against the Bible. Early Christians were persecuted for their faith at the hands of both Jews from whose religion Christianity arose and the Romans who controlled much of the land across which early Christianity was distributed. Early in the fourth century, the religion was legalized by the Edict of Milan, and it eventually became the State church of the Roman Empire. Christian missionaries as well as converts to Christianity have been the targets of persecution ever since the emergence of Christianity, sometimes to the point of being martyred for their faith. In the 20th century, Christians have been persecuted by various groups, including the Islamic Ottoman Empire in the form of the Armenian Genocide, Assyrian Genocide and Greek Genocide, as well as atheistic states such as the Soviet Union and North Korea. During World War II members of some Christian churches were persecuted in Nazi Germany for resisting Nazi ideology. In more recent times the persecution of Christians has increased in India according to International Christian Concern. The Christian missionary organization Open Doors (UK) estimates 100 million Christians face persecution, particularly in Muslim-majority countries such as Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.

Watching the video titled “Victoria” is so powerful! The story of Nigerian Christians being shot at during a church meeting reminded me of the amazing freedoms we have in Canada! I was also brought to tears at the part where Victoria said that her father was not actuallydead, but that they would meet again one day in Heaven. Her testimony reminded me about how much we need to pray for not only the families of those persecuted, but also more importantly for the souls of the persecutors. They need the love, healing and forgiveness of Jesus!

Some of these videos are so difficult to watch but being uncomfortable stirs up the desire in me to pray for and seriously do something about all the persecution and injustices I see and hear about. Thanks for reminding me about that which is easy to forget.

So difficult to see people suffering for something we take for granted. These people were imprisoned for the best years of their lives – 20 – 40 years old. Most women would have past their child bearing years and would never be able to get that time back. BUT they never gave up on JESUS!

Christians are persecuted and martyred across the world today. They have been through the years, even to the point of death or death of their family members. We need to help our brothers and sisters in Christ through prayer, by helping them and their families. Yeshua said that whoever gives one of these little ones only a cup of cold water in the name of a disciple, assuredly, I say to you, he shall by no means lose his reward (Matt. 10:42)

The “Forgiveness” video is hard to believe. Being murdered for your beliefs happens all the time and many people don’t know about it. We need to remember and pray for our family across the globe suffering simply because they believe in Jesus. Anyone have ideas on other ways to help them??

The video titled MOTHER in the section : Persecuted for Yeshua. The family in this story knew they were persecuted because of their love of Jesus even after they were removed from jail for being a Christian. Although not in jail they were persecuted and had very little to eat. They never cried out in anger to Jesus and remained praiseworthy and the love of Jesus revealed itself by bring a benefactor to their door steps in their hour of need. I enjoy stories where Christians help one another so much!
